Rosh Hashanah Erev Rosh Hashanah Service by Ketzirah Erev Rosh Hashanah [Service crafted for angelstouch16.com by Kohenet Carly “Ketzirah” Lesser Sections of this service, where not credited elsewhere, have been adapted from the “High Holiday Prayer Book” compiled and arranged by Rabbi Morris Silverman, edition. The Ten Days of Repentance (Hebrew: עשרת ימי תשובה ‎, Aseret Yemei Teshuva) are the first ten days of the Hebrew month of Tishrei, usually sometime in the month of September, beginning with the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah and ending with the conclusion of Yom Kippur.

We have 10 days to repair relationships, 10 days to think about how we can be better mothers, fathers, sisters.

According to Jewish tradition, on Rosh Hashanah the destiny of the righteous, the tzaddikim, are written in the Book of Life (סֵפֶר הַחַיִּים), and the destiny of the wicked, the resha'im, are written in the Book of Death (סֶפֶר הַמָּוֵת).However, most people will not be inscribed in either book, but have ten days -- until Yom Kippur-- to repent before sealing their. Therefore, according to the rabbis, Rosh Hashanah begins the Yomim Noraim (the Days of Awe); this is the day period between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. During this time period, Jewish people will begin to volunteer and give to charities in hopes that these good deeds will .
